Expansionists in Development – PED012/FSG

With the desire to bring our contribution to the improvement of the current state of employment in the Country, we designed the Project Expansionists in Development, which aims at first to determine the level of performance of those who graduated from the university and to give to those newly graduated the opportunity to apply their expertise in the community, transferring their knowledge and contributing to its development.

The debate about education and employment has its origins in the economic and education concepts that defend an adjustment between between labour supply and demand.

Job opportunities for recent university graduates

Employability refers to the mobile skills and qualifications that enhance the ability to use available education and training opportunities to secure and maintain decent work.

In times gone by, the possession of a university degree or diploma was a guarantee of legitimately aspiring to certain jobs. Currently, the scenario is different, even with a diploma and a high academic degree, the individual is required to retrain permanently to meet the new dynamics or needs of the labour market.

Entrepreneurship for the development of the country.

Since the independence from the colonial domination, education in Mozambique is a sector that has deserved a lot of attention from the government, as it constitutes a duty and a fundamental right for every citizen. In a society where poverty is still present, education is seen as an instrument for the affirmation and integration of the individual in the social, economic and political life, as well as an essential factor in the fight against poverty.
