To achieve national and international recognition as a Foundation engaged in the process of sustainability and development.

The Sérgio Gago Foundation begins its activities in search of reaching their dreams and establishes the material and human foundations on which to settle the big changes that awaited them. Their first steps were the bureaucratic process management needed lo legitimize the Foundation and installing ecological bottles along the Avenida 10 de Novembro and the waterfront in the City of Maputo.

Development of a number of projects aimed at sustainable development, in line with the Government's Five-Year Plan and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Foundation is recognized through the Ministerial Order, approved by the Ministry Council on the 21st of may.
On November 1st of 2017, the Foundation started their work by implementing the previously designed projects : Ecological Bottles and Mangwana Schools.

The Foundation starts the process of searching for public and private partnerships to support their projects and insure its sustainability, by engaging in medium and long term Memorandums of Agreement and Partnership.
This year also sees the implementation of the School Ecopoints project at national level and the study of the impact of banana flour on the nutritional study of children at Mutséwa primary school.

Several projects were put into practice that would serve as a demonstration of the philosophy and operational capacity of the FSG for the benefit of the communities and the country as a whole.

This year was marked by the redefinition of the FSG. The Strategic plan for 2020-2024 was designed, preceded by a deep Functional Analysis. A huge step that enabled the FSG to begin to guide its actions based on a 5 year plan, safeguarding its priorities while keeping in mind its real situation and operational capability.

The geographical area of activities was enlarged, reaching the whole Country, implementing high impact projects in different social areas, with a higher focus in the Education and Environment areas.
This year was signalled the end of FSG’s first cycle, which had started with the creation of the Foundation itself and ended with the design of the projects and the settling of the foundations that would enable its continuity in a sustainable manner.

Launching of the new website which represents the strong bet we intend to make regarding digital communication.
